Growth campaign
Every game is a front door.
QuizHub's growth engine is already built into the product: one host puts a QR code on a big screen and a roomful of people pull out their phones and play — no login, no install. This campaign turns that moment into a loop. We don't buy users; we make it irresistible for the room to become the next hosts.
The free-plan growth loop
The whole campaign exists to spin this loop faster and wider. Marketing's job isn't to fill a funnel — it's to make sure that after every game, a few players in the room become hosts.
A host goes live
QR + PIN on a screen. A whole room is now looking at QuizHub — classmates, a team, a conference crowd.
Players join free
Scan, pick a name, play. No account, no app. The product sells itself in the most fun 5 minutes of their day.
Recap & podium
End screen shows placement and a shareable recap. "I want to run one of these" is the takeaway we engineer.
A player becomes a host
One tap from the recap to build their own — free forever. Now they put a QR on a screen, and the loop repeats.
What we actually do
Four bets, all in service of the loop. Each one is cheap to run and gets cheaper as usage grows — the product creates the distribution.
Engineer the share moment
LoopMake the post-game recap impossible not to share: branded podium image, "play this quiz" link, one-tap "build your own free." Every finished game ends with a call to host.
"Free forever" as the headline
PositioningLead every surface with it. No trial, no card, no caps. The free plan isn't a funnel stage — it's the message, and it disarms the "another paid tool?" reflex.
Player → host conversion
ActivationCapture the moment of delight. Recap prompts, a "you'd make a great host" nudge, and a 60-second first-quiz flow so the leap from playing to hosting is trivial.
Seed the rooms that multiply
DistributionTarget hosts who stand in front of recurring audiences — teachers, trainers, team leads, community organizers. One of them seeds dozens of games a month.
Three waves
Sequenced so each wave makes the next cheaper: prove the loop, widen the mouth of it, then let it compound. Built to run lean while the September billing work lands — free stays untouched.
Wave 1 · Prove the loop
Weeks 1–4Ship the shareable recap and the player→host nudge. Recruit 20–30 seed hosts (classrooms, team standups, meetups). Instrument every step of the loop. Goal: confirm players actually convert.
Wave 2 · Widen the top
Weeks 5–10Public quiz directory for SEO + no-signup landings. Short-form video of real game-show moments. "Run a live quiz in 60 seconds" content aimed at teachers and team leads. Referral framing on the recap.
Wave 3 · Compound
Weeks 11+Slack/Teams/Zoom launches put games where work happens. Embeds spread joinable games across LMSs and webinars. Lean paid retargeting only on proven free→host journeys to pour fuel on what works.
Where the energy goes
Weighted hard toward owned and organic — the loop is the channel. Paid stays a small, late multiplier on journeys we've already proven convert.
AProduct-led (the loop)
- Shareable recap + branded podium image on every game
- "Build your own — free forever" CTA in the player end screen
- Public quiz directory as an organic, no-signup front door
- Embeds & join links that travel into other people's pages
BCommunity & seeding
- Teacher, trainer, and team-lead communities (Reddit, Discord, FB groups)
- Hands-on with 20–30 seed hosts who run recurring sessions
- Slack / Teams / Zoom app-directory listings
- Campus & meetup ambassador kit (PIN posters, how-to)
CContent & SEO
- Short-form video of real game-show moments (the energy sells it)
- "Free Kahoot alternative / no login trivia" comparison & how-to pages
- Directory pages ranking for "[topic] quiz" long-tail searches
- Templates & ready-made quizzes as shareable lead magnets
DPaid (late, lean)
- Retarget only proven free→host journeys
- Small tests on high-intent search terms
- Boost the best-performing organic short-form, not net-new ads
- Hard cap until CAC vs. loop-driven growth is understood
What tells us it's working
One North Star, three supporting rates. If the viral coefficient holds above 1, the loop is self-sustaining and everything else is amplification.
This campaign rides on roadmap work: the shareable recap and public quiz directory (August), plus Slack/Teams/Zoom and embeds (September) are the distribution surfaces it depends on. Revenue follows the loop — the more rooms QuizHub is free in, the larger the base that later converts to Pro/Team. Numbers and sequencing here are planning targets and will shift as the loop's real conversion data comes in.
